Museums Association news update for August 2016
Transformers
Funding from Arts Council England has been awarded and discussions with Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland are now taking place – they are aiming to have representatives from all four nations on the programme this year. Conference & Exhibition

For those who can’t afford to pay to attend, there is the Exhibition – with a massive programme of free content – 28 Museum Practice Workshop (http://www.museumsassociation.org/conference/25072016-mp-workshops) plus new this year a Careers Hub with 12 sessions (http://www.museumsassociation.org/conference/careers-hub). All this plus a hundred stands of leading suppliers and consultants and lot of product launches and on stand demos. No other event offers so much in the sector for free.
Membership
Some offers are coming up in August and September. Look out for a time-limited sizzling-hot membership offers on social media coming in the next few weeks. They will also be running the annual student membership campaign in September and will be looking to repeat last year’s successful offer to smaller museums. More information to follow soon.
