AIM Museum Leaders Programme for UK Museums

The Association for Independent Museums (AIM) has recently launched the new UK wide Museum Leaders programme to support people who lead AIM member museums.

Applicants must be the most senior member of staff in their museum and will usually be the Director or Chief Executive of their organisation. Where a museum is part of an umbrella body, we are looking for applicants who have sufficient autonomy to lead significant change in their museum.

There are places available for Museum Leaders in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland thanks to funding from Arts Council England, The Federation of Museums & Art Galleries of Wales, the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and AIM.

The programme will enable you to:

*Establish a clear purpose for your organisation and foster a positive organisational culture

*Lead innovation and change

*Strengthen your museum’s governance and leadership

*Become part of a peer network and share ideas and insights

*Embed the AIM Hallmarks of Prospering Museums in your organisation

Applications should arrive by 5pm on Friday 29 January 2016 AIM Museum Leaders Programme for UK Museums
