Free training to build on Volunteer Engagement
From January to March 2016 Tickbox are providing free support and training to a limited number of orgnanisations to create or build on their Volunteer Engagement. This is part of a Volunteer Makers pilot project to prove demand for Volunteer Makers before a national roll-out from July 2016.
Volunteer Makers - which is the technology behind - was developed for Luton Culture as a standalone micro site.
Volunteer Makers is an online volunteer engagement platform that helps organisations to harness the creative, social and intellectual capital within a volunteer community - adding economic, social and creative value for any organisation, as well as long-term sustainability. The platform operates as a challenge database, automatically matching volunteer opportunities with skills and allowing extremely flexible levels of volunteering activity to encourage a wider volunteer community. It actively encourages volunteers to take ownership of their own volunteering activity and to help drive and support volunteering across the organisation. A quick guide is attached, along with a case study on Museum Makers.
Their work with you during the pilot Volunteer Makers programme will include:
- Analysis of current volunteer engagement
- Telephone interview with key staff
- 3 hour workshop with teams involved in volunteer engagement
- Provide a volunteer digital engagement annotated template
- Review Volunteer Digital Engagement Plan - after 6 to 9 months of implementation
As part of the programme, organisations are agreeing to submit a draft Volunteer Engagement Plan within a specified timeframe, no later than March 2016.
