Paul Hamlyn Foundation launches new web resource

Paul Hamlyn Foundation, one of the UK’s largest independent grant-making Foundations, has launched a new web resource to support the embedding of participation in museums and galleries.

The new website – – showcases learning and case studies from 'Our Museum: Communities and Museums as Active Partners', a Paul Hamlyn Foundation programme to facilitate a process of organisational change within museums and galleries committed to active partnership with their communities. The site is aimed at museums, galleries, community groups and organisations, and funding bodies wanting to understand how to embed participatory practice and is a a mix of about 50 animations, films, audio-visual presentations and downloadable documents.

The resources are free to share and to embed in other websites and presentations. Most of them are audio-visual and all are closed captioned.

The Foundation will continue to create new resources for this site, based on the Our Museum programme, until March 2016, when the programme ends.
